I live in Jackson Heights NY. The super in the building continuously entering my apartment everyday. We changed the lock twice. Even hough we have a camera n I really don't know how he was able to enter without being caught or seen by the camera. Today 01/18/2023 I have found out my LV bag was used and the belt of the bag is missing. He is stealing my groceries, money, jewelries ( not a million dollars) clothes, shoes. I really don't know what to do. I called the NY after a month I was asking for the reference # the man on the phone said I don't have the reference #. The building camera on the hallway is at the top of my door. I'm becoming insecure.

I took a 12" pipe wrench and sharpened the jaw to a knife edge with point on the movable jaw. Like a can opener I cut a square (need drill to start)on the outside and inside of the steel security door. 35 years ago. Someone THAT determined to get in could just use a sledgehammer on an outer wall. By all means get the best door you can afford or reinforce the hell out of the one you have, but understand that realistically the best of the best will only buy you 3-5 minutes. Less if you don't have bars on your windows. Get yourself some door armor for $65, a night lock for $40, and have a backup plan if someone gets in before the cops show up. A decent home defense shotgun costs less than $200.
